OUR PEOPLE

Our people in Bangladesh and Myanmar, operating through a number of well-equipped offices in Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna in Bangladesh, and Yangon in Myanmar, can respond to any emergency in the region. Our teams of high level mariners, commercial shipping persons and lawyers can tackle any emergency facing a vessel in our ports or at sea near our coasts.

We maintain our network with the port and shipping industries and can gather assistance from our network friends for the best possible outcome for a given situation. We are an ethical company and our people strictly adhere to the standards set by our clients in relation to how we act. The persons managing and working for PANDIASIA have decades of high level experience in commercial shipping, marine survey, law and claim handling in Bangladesh, Myanmar and overseas.

Captain Ahmed Ruhullah

CEO

Captain Ruhullah is the CEO of PANDIASIA Bangladesh and CEO and Managing Director of Henderson Marine Bangladesh Ltd.

As a graduate of Nautical Studies from the Bangladesh Marine Academy and a Class 1 Master Mariner certified by the UK Department of Transport, he brings decades of seafaring and maritime expertise to the role. He also holds an MSc in International Transport from Cardiff University.

Captain Ruhullah serves as Chairman of The Nautical Institute’s Dhaka Branch, underscoring his ongoing commitment to advancing professional maritime standards in the region.

Prior to his current leadership roles, he served as a Senior Policy Adviser in the Maritime Branch of the Australian Government’s Department of Infrastructure and Transport.

Amiya Atahar

Amiya joined the PANDIASIA team in 2019 and is currently a Claim Executive at PANDIASIA Bangladesh.

Amiya holds holding a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and an MSc in Physical Chemistry. She holds the IG P&I Qualifications Certificate, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of P&I insurance and international maritime regulations.

Since joining the industry in 2019, she developed expertise in handling marine liability claims and supporting assureds with complex claim matters.

Prior to joining the company in 2019, she gained more than 5 years of administrative experience at a non-profit organisation.

Tasnim Mehzabin Anika

Anika joined the PANDIASIA team in 2021 and is currently a Claim Executive at PANDIASIA Bangladesh.

Anika holds an LLB (Hon) and an LLM in International Commercial Law. She brings strong analytical and contractual expertise to handling P&I claims and supporting assureds with legal and commercial aspects of maritime liability.

Prior to joining the company in 2021, she gained experience as a Legal Intern at Nestlé Bangladesh.

Md. Omar Sharif

Sharif joined the PANDIASIA team in 2017 and is currently a Claim Assistant at PANDIASIA Bangladesh.

Sharif holds a BA and MSS in Political Science. He brings over eight years of hands-on experience in marine surveying, contributing practical insight and support to the handling of P&I claim and investigations.

Prior to joining the company in 2017, he gained more than six years of operational experience as an Assistant Officer at Western Marine Shipyard Ltd.

Mohammed Shakibul Hasan

Shakib joined the PANDIASIA team in 2017 and is currently a Claim Assistant at PANDIASIA Bangladesh.

Shakib holds a Diploma in Engineering (Power). He brings over eight years of marine and cargo surveying experience and strong technical insight to support the efficient handling of P&I claims and inspections.

Before joining the company in 2017, served as a Staff Surveyor at Pravati Inspection Ltd.

Thant Thant Sin Aung (Ma Mu)

General Manager

Thant Thant, or Ma Mu as she is fondly known, is the General Manager of PANDIASIA Myanmar.

Ma Mu holds an MBA and has over 20 years of experience in the shipping industry. Formerly a manager at a leading shipping agency in Yangon, she has handled all vessel types and is highly knowledgeable in local maritime regulations and claims handling.

She is well-connected across the Myanmar maritime sector and serves as the key local contact for all survey coordination and claims matters, providing assureds and clubs with reliable, on-the-ground expertise.
