Capt Ahmed Ruhullah

In Charge - CEO and the founder of PANDIASIA . Capt Ruhullah has sailed for sixteen years in merchant fleets of Bangladesh, Hong King and Korea and since 1998 has been involved in marine survey and claim as the country head of Henderson International Group in Bangladesh. A UK qualified master mariner and an alumni of Cardiff University where he studied for his MSc degree in International Transport, Capt Ruhullah is a high profile mariner with experience of work on board ships of many kinds in Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Korea. Capt Ruhullah has taught at the Australian Maritime College in in Australia and served as a Senior Policy Adviser in the Australian Government Department of Transport and Infrastructure. He attended at the ILO MLC 2006 and various IMO meetings as a delegation representing the Australian Government. He is currently a Vice Chairman of Dhaka Branch of the Nautical Institute, UK. He is an expert in commercial shipping, maritime law and marine survey. Capt Ruhullah set up PANDIASIA is 2012 as a separate correspondent and claim services business unit to supplement Henderson Bangladesh’s survey services in Bangladesh and Myanmar.

Advocate Mr Mohammod Hossain

Dhaka

Advocate Mr Mohammod Hossain is our legal counsel and consultant based in Dhaka to assist in court proceedings in the Admiralty court and to provide legal advice as and when necessary. A senior lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Mr Hossain has over 15 years of legal experience in the High Court Division and Appellate Division (apex court) of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He has acted as the filing lawyer in a number of Admiralty cases for IG P&I Clubs and ship owners. He has a LLM degree from Dhaka University and his specialization is maritime and commercial law.

Capt M.A Malek

Chittagong

Marine Consultant and Claim Handler: Capt Malek is a high profile master mariner with over 32 year experience at sea and ashore in Bangladesh and abroad. Following an illustrious career at sea on dry bulk and container vessels from 1981 to 1997, Capt Malek has been active in many sectors within the maritime industry, from ship management to marine survey and consultancy. He is an experienced surveyor who has done numerous condition surveys for P&I Clubs, H&M underwriters and charterers. He has also handled several high profile marine accidents for P&I clubs as surveyor and consultant. Capt Malek is heavily involved in the Bangladesh maritime scene and is a valued contributor in policy discussions. He is currently the Chairman of the Chittagong Branch of the Nautical Institute, UK. Capt Malek is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Mr Mohammed Shohel Rana

Chittagong

Mr Mohammed Shohel Rana is a lawyer and claim handler who has been working as a surveyor and claim handler for Henderson Marine Bangladesh before changing work to join as a claim handler for PANDIASIA. Mr Rana has a LLM degree and has expertise in dry and liquid cargo, collision and crew injury.

Capt M Rafiqul Islam

Mongla

Capt Islam is a UK qualified master mariner. Capt Islam has over thirty years of experience in shipping including fifteen years ashore as surveyor and marine consultant. He is stationed in Khulna and covers the port of Mongla for all P&I, H&M and cargo survey and claim related matters.

Ms Thant Thant Sin Aung

Myanmar

Ms Sin Aung or Ma Mu, as she is fondly known in Yangon is a shipping person with twenty years experience in shipping. As the manager of a shipping agency, she has handled ships of all types in Yangon and is very well versed in local regulations and claim matters. Ma Mu has extensive connection in Myanmar and acts as the local contact for all survey and claims matters.

Capt Win Zaw

Yangon

Capt Win Zaw is an experienced P&I and H&M surveyor and consultant. He has over thirty five years of experience in shipping, including command in Myanmar Five Star Line, He also served as a superintendent in the same company and then at the Myanmar Maritime University as a lecturer. Capt Win Zaw is a very experienced surveyor and claim handler. He maintains an extensive network in Myanmar.

Ms Aye Aye Mon

Yangon

Miss Aye Aye Mon is the Principal Lawyer and Claim Handing consultant attached with PANIASIA’s Yangon office. Ms Mon is a qualified lawyer in Myanmar and a graduate of Yangon University. She has extensive experience of maritime legal matters which she gained as Manager Claims of Myanmar Five Star Line. Ms Mon is an alumni of WMU in Sweden where she studies for her master degree in maritime law and policy. Ms Mon also taught at Myanmar Maritime University for four years between 2009 and 1012. She has been with PANDIASIA Yangon since 2013.
